perfection is overrated
.but this is sooo SEXY
.
why do you look for perfect
why do you think there is the perfect image, the perfect object, the perfect item of nature
a chipped shell doesn't make it imperfect but taints your acceptance of it
perfection does not exist
this image is not perfect - how can it be, what is perfect in the sense of this image, where is straight, what is clear, the pixelation deliberate, there are no mistakes here only intentional lack of clarity, intentional disappearance into the abstract
what were you expecting
what do you think you need to see
why don't you like it
.
perfectly perfect

(de)illusion

.
see what you want to see
hear what you want to hear
think others have something you don't
think others have something you can't
think others are what you aren't
and never will be
your perception is distorted
nothing is what is seems
nothing is possible
anything is possible
nobody is what they think you are
nobody is what you think they are
possessions are nothing
possess nothing

big city
the shopper digital printTo many it is considered a recreational activity in which one visits a variety of stores in search of a suitable product to purchase. Window shopping is an activity that shoppers engage in by browsing through glass windows of a shop for entertainment. The browser might try on the items or imagine purchasing these items without actually purchasing, possibly just to pass the time between other activities, or to plan a purchase.
To some, shopping is a task of inconvenience and vexation. Shoppers sometimes go though great lengths to wait in long lines to buy popular products as typically observed with early adopters shoppers and holiday shoppers. Sometimes buyers feel ripped-off because they did not get what they paid for often asking for a refund. Sometimes shoppers get caught up in a scam.
More recently compulsive shopping has been recognised as an addiction. Commonly referred as compulsive shopping, shopping addiction, shopaholic or formally oniomania, these shoppers have an impulsive uncontrollable need to go shopping to get a rush or high. Some people, in order to cover up their addiction, call shopping "retail therapy."

and for what
I went to a place but didn’t get a chance to explore
I thought I missed something so I planned to go back
I went to the same place a second time but in another part
I thought I missed something so I planned to go back
I went to the same place a third time and explored
I found that I missed nothing and if I keep planning
for what I am missing then I am missing what happens while I plan
I was missing everything while planning for nothing

aim
modern gothic (detail) from antwerp serieswhat are your aims, your goals, your desires? what do you strive for?
can you have it? can you reach it?
is it a thing?
or is it intangible? unattainable?
then why do you seek it? to better yourself?
for enlightenment?
then what?
I want to be
better, smarter, stronger, wiser
I am . . .

blank?
I looked up the Paris Reviews website to find out who they had interviewed recently.
In reading about their publications was this description:
"From “the biggest little magazine in history” comes an addictively clever anthology prescribed to fill all the blank moments of your life."
Blank moments?
I can comprehend being vague and not attentive, having a blank stare or even the saying "the lights are on but no-one is home" but other than whilst in a meditative state how can a moment in your life be blank. Seems contradictory.
also:
In an excerpt from an interview in Paris Review with Umberto Eco, the interviewer likens the DaVinci Code to Eco’s Foucault’s Pendulum. Eco’s response is that he invented Dan Brown.
I don’t know whether the interview continues about this as the excerpt ends there but it does make the mind boggle about reality. What if the DaVinci Code & Dan Brown are Eco’s creations and the whole hoopla over the DaVinci code is fiction, the making of the movie, our reaction to it, all written by a man – suddenly, what is real and what isn’t? Can we tell?
du di du du (twilight zone music)...
BTW I like the Paris Reviews. They have some fantastic and not so fantastic interviews with writers.
